There was a chance for a let down after an emotional win on Wednesday in front of a record crowd at Cheel Arena, but the Knights took care of business at Appleton Arena today with a 3-0 win of St. Lawrence. Â
Â
In the opening period,
Darcie Lappan would get her 2nd goal in as many games when she opened the scoring at 4:49.Â
Dominique Petrie and
Keira Hurry would get the assists on Lappan's goal.  Clarkson would go on the power play at 10:44, giving
Sena Catterall the opportunity at 12:42 to extend the lead to 2-0. For Sena, it is her 5th goal in 3 games. Â
Â
The second period would not see any goals for either team, but Clarkson would outshoot the Saints 23-10 in the period.Â
Â
In the third, the Knights would face three penalty kill situations, but would get through all three kills and then with 1:53 remaining and with the extra attacker on, St. Lawrence would take a slashing the stick penalty, allowing the Knights to grind out the rest of the game on the power play and eventually get a empty net goal when Dom Petrie would get her 3rd goal of the series and 2nd game clinching empty net goal.Â
Â
Michelle Pasiechnyk would earn her 4th shut out of the year, as she made 12 3rdperiod saves for a total of 30. Clarkson would maintain their streak of out shooting every team this season, as they out chanced the Saints 40 to 32.
Â
Clarkson also won the special teams' game, they went 2-4 with the power play and held the Saints 0 for 4 with the advantage.
Â
Clarkson will host Brown and Yale next weekend at Cheel.
