Knights Relay Places Second at Clarkson Invitational

Lake Placid, NY – The grouping of Conner Roberts, Joey Rouhana, and Cameron Bancroft from the Clarkson University Nordic Ski team combined to take second in the 3x3 1.5K Classic Team Sprint Relay as the Golden Knights finished off their two-day Clarkson Invitational at Mt. Van Hoevenberg.

The Golden Knights' men had four teams entered into Sunday's race, with the top team placing second out of 20 groups with a time of 39:00.4. Clarkson's next three teams finished 7th, 12th, and 13th, respectively. Clarkson's women did not have a complete team so a skier from another team joined the Knights' two skiers, and that trio finished sixth in 42:38.7.

Roberts, Rouhana, and Bancroft finished 21.6 seconds off the pace set by a group from Paul Smiths College to take second. Oliver Dolcino, Kai Richter, and Noah Payne were the next Clarkson team in the standings, as that group finished in seventh with a time of 42:13.2. Hunter Krebs, Konrad Kremzner, and Thomas Robinson placed 12th in 46:44.2 and the group of Adam Jansen, Eric Nowak, and Derek Ferreira had the next spot in the 20-team standings with a time of 48:49.9.

Clarkson's women were one skier short of a team, so Fabia Emblem from Cornell joined Lillian Magnus and Ava Schieffert for a group of three. The trio combined to place sixth among 17 women's teams, closing out the race with a time of 42:38.7.
