This past weekend, the Clarkson University Baseball team took down the top-seed in the Liberty League's East Division with team effort and some outstanding individual efforts, and the conference office took notice as it announced its weekly award winners in Colby Brouillette and Kyle Locklear.

Brouillette took home Liberty League Performer of the Week honors and Kyle Locklear was chosen as the Liberty League Pitcher of the Week.

Brouillette was nearly a one-man wrecking crew on Saturday, going 5-for-10 at the plate with three home runs and 13 runs batted in. During the first game, he drove in nine runs due in large part to a pair of three-run homers, and in the second game Brouillette hit a key grand slam in the sixth to drive in four more. For the season, Brouillette has seven home runs and has driven in 39. Brouillette's 1.44 RBI per game ranks 23rd nationally.

Clarkson put up 16 runs in the first game on Saturday, but that contest was really never in doubt thanks to the gem tossed by starting pitcher Kyle Locklear. He threw seven shutout innings, giving up just two hits and four walks while striking out seven in his scoreless outing. Locklear has been slipping down the strikeouts-per-nine national leader board in his last two outings, falling to 27th nationally (13.15 K/9), but his overall results have gotten better in that time, as he has allowed just two earned runs in his last 18 innings while still striking out 22 with just 11 hits allowed in that stretch.
