Clarkson Women's Lacrosse Among IWLCA Academic Honor Squads

The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced that 319 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA achieved IWLCA Academic Honor Squad honors for the 2020-21 academic year, and the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team was among the group of teams that earned a grade-point average of 3.2 or higher for the academic year.

A third of the Golden Knights' roster was named to the Liberty League All-Academic team in the spring of 2021, meaning that the student-athlete had a 3.3 cumulative GPA or better. Graduate student Katie Sergeant, senior Kyrsten Stone, juniors Sydney Christiansen, Grace Hagberg, and Mia Petrone as well as sophomores Cassidy Carroll, Julia Lavarnway, Grace Myers, Reagan O'Donnell, and McKenzie Tikalsky each earned the honor from the conference.

Overall, the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team possessed a 3.432 grade-point average, and the collective effort from the team was actually better during its season (3.48) then in the first semester (3.384). Both Katie Sergeant and Sydney Christiansen were among 918 student-athletes to earn IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll honors as student-athletes with a 3.50 grade-point average or better that are of junior standing or higher.
