Leek and Dillon Named Liberty League Golf All-Stars

Seniors Andrew Leek and Steve Dillon of the Clarkson University Golf team were recognized by the conference on Friday as the duo was chosen as Liberty League All-Stars.

Leek was picked as a Liberty League Second-Team All-Star and Dillon was a Liberty League Honorable Mention All-Star. It was the first all-star selection for either of the seniors in their four-year careers with the Golden Knights.

Leek took a step forward in his junior year, but he really elevated his game as a senior, spending most of the fall exhibition and spring season as the team's number-one golfer. Leek averaged 77.00 strokes per round, but his top performance came when it mattered most, as the Liberty League Championships at the Turning Stone Resort. Leek finished in a tie for eighth at the conference tournament, shooting 149 with six birdies over 36 holes.

Dillon was one of the most improved players for the Knights this year, as his scoring average was trimmed by four strokes compared to his junior year. Dillon averaged 77.00 strokes per 18 holes and finished in 18th place at the Liberty League Championships this spring with a score of 155 over the course of 36 holes at Shenendoah Golf Course in Verona, NY. His best round of the spring came in the first competitive tournament, as he shot an even-par 72 at Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course on April 10th.
