AHCA Release

Averaging almost two points per game, Gabel, also a Top 3 Finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Award for the second year in a row, has tallied 69 points, including a Division I best 40 goals through 37 games. The senior left wing leads the country in game-winning goals, connecting for her 10th and 11th deciding goals of the season in the victories at the ECAC Hockey Championship Tournament on March 9-10.

ECAC Hockey's Player of the Year for two years straight, Gabel scored her fifth and sixth goals of this year's playoffs within a 26-second span early in the second period of the 4-1 win over Cornell in the ECAC Tournament Championship game on March 10. She also scored the opening goal in the 2-0 semifinal win over Colgate en route to winning Tournament MOP honors.

The Kitchener, Ont. native has recorded 19 multiple-point games and leads the country in hat tricks with three.

Through 159 career games, Gabel, who was also a First-Team All-American last year, has amassed 213 points on 116 goals and 97 assists as the Green and Gold's all-time leading scorer.

The NCAA's top point producers and leading playmaker, Giguere has recorded 26 goals and 47 assists through 39 games. She is steadily moving up the Clarkson all-time scoring lists and looks to challenge Gabel's records before her collegiate career is over. Through just 80 games, Giguere, who earned Second-Team All-American honors last year, has tallied 144 points on 53 goals and 91 assists.

Giguere has played in four NCAA Tournament games in her two-year collegiate career and has scored the game-winning goal in overtime three times, while setting up another NCAA overtime win for the Golden Knights with the primary assist.  She scored the winner in this past Saturday's 2-1 overtime victory over Boston College.  Giguere scored the deciding goal in the 2018 NCAA Championship game overtime victory (2-1) over Colgate last March.

The Quebec City, Que. native has scored a Clarkson record five shorthanded goals this season. She has also tallied three power-play goals, five game-winners and posts a nation-high +64 rating.

Gabel and Giguere, along with junior center Michaela Pejzlova make up arguably the top line ever in women's college hockey. The Clarkson trio has combined for 85 goals and 112 assists for 197 points. That is more goals than 17 other Division I teams, including seven ECAC Hockey squads, more assists than seven teams (four in ECAC) and more points than 12 other teams (six in ECAC).
