Playoff implications are aplenty in Saturday's regular-season finale for the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team, as the Golden Knights take on Union College at Hantz Field.

Playoff Scenarios: Both teams are looking for a win to increase their standing in the Liberty League, with Clarkson possibly needing a victory to gain entrance for the conference playoffs. With a win, the Knights are in, but a tie or loss could force the team to need help. Union already has a playoff spot secured, but the team is seeking a bye. If the Garnet Chargers win, they would still need help for a first-round bye, as the top two teams face one another. If Hobart beats St. Lawrence, Union receives a bye with a win over the Golden Knights.

The Series: This will be the 40th all-time meeting between the two teams, and the matchup could not be tighter, as each team has won 18 times to go along with three ties. Union won last season, 4-3.

Key Stats for Clarkson (9-5-0, 4-4-0 Liberty League): The Golden Knights have relied on seniors Nolan Grady and Eric McKean for much of the team's offense this year, as the duo has 10 goals, but Clarkson has seen seven different players score the game-winning goal (not including an own goal that also helped the Knights top an opponent). Grady is the only Clarkson player with two game-winning goals, and both came during conference play, where Grady has tallied five scores.

Key Stats for Union (8-6-3, 5-2-1 Liberty League): The Garnet Chargers have scored 31 goals overall through 17 contests, but have been limited to only 10 during conference games. That has hardly kept Union from being successful, as the team is still in play for a first-round bye in the playoffs. Marco Perugini leads the team in scoring with 13 points (three goals in Liberty League play) while Robbie Michalski (5-2-12) and Wyatt Goldfisher (4-2-10) have pushed to double digits in scoring. Paul Agne has a 0.88 goals against average and .803 save percentage.
