After blowing out Bard College 6-0 last weekend in their first league game, the Union College Dutchmen enter Friday's game with a record of 8-0-1. In the 30 games played between the two schools, the Golden Knights hold the slightest of advantages, going 15-14-1 against Union all-time, while outscoring them 60-50. Offense has come easily for Union this year, however, as they have put up an impressive 24 goals while only surrendering six. Carl Faber leads the team with seven goals, while the next closest scorer only has three. Ryan Carter has started all nine games in net, recording 27 saves and two shutouts along the way.

Although it may not have been as easy for RPI as it was for Union against Bard, the Engineers are also 1-0 in league play after defeating Skidmore College 3-2 in overtime two weeks ago. RPI is 5-3-0 on the year, outscoring opponents 14-10 in the process. Matt Koziol and Nathaniel Gunderson both have three goals and an assist to lead the offense, while Rob Dewald has started seven games in net, going 5-2-0 and posting two shutouts.

Coming off a 2-0 loss in their Liberty League opener against RIT, the Green and Gold aim to get back on track as league play will be in full swing for the rest of the season. Marco Parisi (Guildford, NY) has scored three goals and an assist while Tucker Wilcox (Broadalbin, VT) has added two goals to lead the offense. Michael King (Verona, NJ) has started the last three games in net, going 1-2-0 while saving 26 shots and shutting out SUNY Canton in a 3-0 win last week.
