WHAT the COACHES SAY—"Laura got a good amount of playing time her freshman year and really helped our team to the record that we had. She started to gain some confidence at the end of last season so if she can maintain where she left off, Laura 
can be a mainstay in the lineup. She is also a very respectful individual that brings great character to the program."
FRESHMAN YEAR (2007-08)—Played a role on the Knights’ checking lines … Tallied one goal, the game-winner in 7-1 win over Quinnipiac (2/22) at Cheel Arena, and one assist, in 5-1 victory at Vermont (1/5).
BEFORE CLARKSON—Captain at Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts ... Scored 18 goals and had nine assists in 25 games as top scorer for her team in the New England Prep School League in 2006-07 ... Received MVP honors for her team, and has been a regular participant at the USA development camp in Lake Placid ... Received Senior Scholar Athlete Award at Deerfield.
