Clarkson University Athletics

JUNIOR SEASON (2025-26):  Evans made an immediate impact during her first season at Clarkson, recording nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points in 27 games. The junior forward finished with a plus-10 rating, registered 67 shots on goal and scored five times on the power play. Her 21 points ranked among the Golden Knights’ leading totals despite missing eight games.

Evans scored her first goal as a Golden Knight in Clarkson’s 2-0 victory over UConn on October 3. She continued her productive start with two assists in a 6-1 win over St. Lawrence before recording a goal and an assist against Brown and another goal the following afternoon against Yale.  The Bethune, Saskatchewan, native delivered her best performance in Clarkson’s record-setting 15-0 victory over Saint Michael’s on January 2. Evans scored once and added three assists for a career-high four points. She followed with another assist in the second game of the series and later produced a goal and an assist in a 5-5 tie at Cornell.  Evans remained productive down the stretch, scoring in victories over St. Lawrence and Quinnipiac before adding another goal at Yale. She closed the season by scoring Clarkson’s lone goal in its ECAC Hockey playoff game against Union, converting on the power play late in the third period.

With her scoring ability, special-teams production and experience, Evans became an important part of Clarkson’s forward group. Her 21-point campaign represented a strong first season in Potsdam and provided a solid foundation entering her senior year.

BEFORE CLARKSON:

Evans skated in all 35 games during her first season at Robert Morris, finishing second on the team in scoring with 28 points (9G, 19A).  Netted her first collegiate goal, (a power-play tally) in her NCAA debut against Union on Sept. 29. Recorded multiple multi-point outings, including a game-winning performance against Penn State. Finished the year with a +11 rating and two power-play goals. Named CHA Rookie of the Week four times and earned AHCA All-American Scholar honors. 

Janelle is a product of RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna, where she helped the program win back-to-back CSSHL Championships (2022, 2023). Tallied 42 points (7G, 35A) in 30 games during her final season and was named a Second Team CSSHL All-Star.
