FRESHMAN SEASON (2025-26): Aneta Šenková gained valuable experience in Clarkson’s goaltending rotation during her freshman season. The Lovosice, Czechia, native appeared in 10 games, made eight starts and finished with a 5-2-0 record. Šenková posted a 2.37 goals-against average, an .897 save percentage and two shutouts while turning aside 140 shots over more than 400 minutes in the Clarkson crease.
Šenková recorded her first collegiate shutout against Saint Michael’s on January 3. She stopped all 12 shots she faced as Clarkson completed a dominant weekend with a 9-0 victory. Šenková helped the Golden Knights withstand several early opportunities during the second period before Clarkson pulled away offensively. Her strongest conference performance came against Route 11 rival St. Lawrence on January 20. Šenková made a season-high 24 saves and held the Saints scoreless as Clarkson earned a commanding 5-0 road victory. She stopped eight shots during the opening period and remained steady as the Golden Knights built their lead, earning her second shutout and third victory of the season.
Šenková was especially effective during ECAC Hockey competition, compiling a 4-1-0 record across six starts. She finished conference play with a 2.28 goals-against average, a .913 save percentage and one shutout while stopping 116 shots. Her league victories included wins over RPI, Union, St. Lawrence and Dartmouth.
With her athleticism, composure and ability to step into the lineup when called upon, Šenková completed a promising freshman campaign. Her winning record, two shutouts and strong conference numbers provided a solid foundation for a larger role during the remainder of her Clarkson career.
BEFORE CLARKSON: A highly regarded goaltender from the Czech Republic, Aneta Šenková joins Clarkson after a standout international and junior career. Šenková rose to prominence with her stellar performance at the 2024 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship, where she backstopped Czechia to a historic silver medal finish. She was named the tournament’s Best Goaltender and earned a spot on the Media All-Star Team after posting a 2.42 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage in six games.
Šenková developed through the HC Stadion Litomerice system, competing primarily on boys' teams before transitioning to full-time women’s hockey. She spent the 2024–25 season with the Kingston Jr. Ice Wolves in Canada’s top U22 women’s league, continuing her development at a high level. Known for her poise in the crease, quick reflexes, and excellent rebound control, Šenková brings a composed and technically sound presence in goal.
She is expected to be a key piece in Clarkson’s future goaltending corps, while also continuing to represent Czechia on the international stage.
