The Series: The Green and Gold take on Smith College and Lewis & Clark on Friday afternoon, two teams which the Golden Knights have never faced. On Saturday Clarkson takes on Penn College, another fresh opponent, as well as University of Rochester, a team that Clarkson has faced 13 times before, including a 3-2 win in 2025.

Key Stats for Clarkson (3-1): The new substitution rules certainly have benefited the Golden Knights as the team can rotate in defensive specialists, a strength for Clarkson over the last two decades. It has shown in the service game, as Clarkson is at a .950 serve receive clip with only 11 aces against them in 14 sets. Clarkson has a huge advantage at the service line, already up 24 points from aces-plus-opponents errors against its own total (60-36).

Key Stats for Smith College (4-0): An NCAA Tournament team two years ago where they reached the second round, the Bears are off to another solid start in 2026. Anna Feuer is a menace at the net, averaging 1.45 blocks per set, while Addison Klunder is hitting .364 with 2.88 kills per set, though she did not play in the team's last match.

Key Stats for Lewis & Clark (1-2): The River Otters broke a 52-match losing streak spread across several seasons with a 3-1 victory against Hamline the last time out. HB Schuett is averaging 1.30 blocks per set and the team has had trouble on serve receive thus far, getting aced 32 times in only 10 sets.

Key Stats for Penn College (0-6): The Wildcats won their first set of the year in the last match, having been swept the first five times out. That is due to an offense which has struggled offensively, averaging only 6.47 kills per set. Lilly Stockum leads the team at 1.94 kills per game while Peyton Maass has 1.58 kills and 2.79 digs per set.

Key Stats for Rochester (3-1): Myla Nover-Estes is the team's top target on offense, having taken 132 swings for the Yellowjackets which is almost double the next highest total on the team (75). It's a good strategy, though, as Nover-Estes is hitting at a .265 clip and scoring 3.73 kills per set. Rochester has not posed much of a threat at the net in its first 16 sets, having recorded only five total blocks as a team.
