The middle of the pack in the Liberty League standings is still quite jumbled so anything can still happen for a number of teams, including the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team, as they hunt for a conference playoff spot. The Golden Knights look to improve upon their placement when the team faces off against Ithaca College on Saturday afternoon at Hantz Field.

The Series: Since Ithaca joined the Liberty League in 2017, the matchup could not be more even as nine meetings have the teams standing at 3-3-3. Clarkson has a playoff victory included in that stretch, a first round win over the Bombers in 2019, while last year's game resulted in a 0-0 tie.

Key Stats for Clarkson (6-4-4, 1-3-3 Liberty League): While Bodie Smith became the first Clarkson player to reach 20 points in a season since Mike Bud had 21 during the 2001 season, Zach Ruthfield added an assist to get to 13 points on the campaign. Smith will likely lead the team in scoring in 2026 once the season has concluded, but Ruthfield's 13 points would have tied for the team lead or led the squad in 11 of the last 15 seasons.

Key Stats for Ithaca (8-2-7, 1-1-5 Liberty League): The Bombers started off the year 7-0-1, but have won only one game since the middle of September. That doesn't mean that Ithaca has faltered, it just has been knotted up with opponents six times in the past nine games. Jack Carney leads the team with nine points on four goals and one assist while Edin Estrada, Emile Antoine, and Noah Partenza have each scored three goals. Goalkeeper Brayden Milbrandt has 54 saves and eight shutouts in 2026.
