The Series: Clarkson has tied and won in the last two meetings against the Engineers, including a 2-0 victory against RPI last year at Hantz Field. The Knights scored twice in the second half last season, with goals separated by just 76 seconds from Jay Jezioro and Josh Baraka.

Key Stats for Clarkson (6-3-3, 1-2-2 Liberty League): With two goals in the last game against SUNY Potsdam, freshman Bodie Smith became the most accomplished first-year scorer for the Golden Knights in the 21st century. In fact, his 18 points (8-2-18) are the most by any Clarkson player since 2015 (Zach Godin) and are the highest figure by a first-year player since Golden Knights' Athletic Hall of Famer Michael Kirmse had identical numbers in 1990.

Key Stats for Rensselaer (4-5-3, 2-1-2): The Engineers are one of only two teams to shutout the high-powered offense of Union thanks in large part to goalkeeper Noah Churchill, who has a 0.83 goals against average and .773 save percentage. RPI has been streaky this year, starting off with three unbeaten in September before going winless over its next five contests. The Engineers have been better as of late, going 2-1-1 in the last four contests.
