RPI Set to Visit Clarkson in ECAC Matchup

Clarkson will host RPI at Cheel Arena, with puck drop set for 6:00 pm.

Clarkson, consistently among the ECAC's top programs, needs to make sure to squeeze as many points as they can before they lose two key members to the Milano Olympics.  Manon le Scodan and Andrea Trnková will head to Italy and miss up to 4 games.  

Last weekend the Knights fought back to tie Cornell, but fell 5-2 at Colgate.  Clarkson continues to get strong production from the Manness sisters, with each having multi point games both nights.  Kate Manness was named the ECAC Rookie of the Week.  

The matchup is critical in a jam packed ECAC standings as both teams jockey for position in the league.  The ECAC is led by Princeton with 28 points, Yale sits in 2nd with 24 points, then Clarkson is in 7th just 3 points out of the 2nd place team.  RPI is fighting to get up to 8th which means they could host a first round series.  Yale and Brown (2nd and 4th place) are hosting Colgate and Cornell (5th and 6th place) this weekend, so the Knights will be looking to pick up the max 6 points and look for the teams around them in the standings to split up point totals over the weekend.
