Clarkson Roster/Clarkson Schedule

SUNY Potsdam Roster/SUNY Potsdam Schedule

The Series: SUNY Potsdam holds the upper hand in the all-time matchup between the schools with a 55-27 advantage. Clarkson has emerged the victor from the last three meetings however, including a 104-100 overtime thriller two years ago and a 66-63 nail biter last year at Alumni Gymnasium.

Key Stats for Clarkson (3-2, 0-1 LL): The Golden Knights return to Potsdam off the back of an 86-70 win at SUNY Poly on Saturday. Four players reached double-figures in scoring led by a career-high 18 from Tyson Maxam. Overall, the team is shooting 48% from the field while averaging 15.4 assists per game. Nate Abernethy, Braeden Burns and Steve DeRegis continue to lead the Knights in most categories. Abernethy had his lowest offensive outing with 12 points on Saturday but continues to lead the team with 17.8 ppg. Burns leads the squad in minutes (31.2 mpg) while contributing averages of 16.6 ppg, 5.2 rebounds per game and 2.8 assists per game. Classmate Steve DeRegis stands as the primary long-range threat for Clarkson having hit 19 threes so far, averaging 14 ppg and 2.6 assists per game.

Key Stats for SUNY Potsdam (0-4): The Bears are off to a rough start in 2025 with a negative scoring margin of 28.3, the team has been outscored by opponents 64-92.3 on average so far. A field goal percentage of 34% and a 25% mark from three-point land could both be to blame as overall SUNY Potsdam takes care of the ball well, averaging just 11.8 turnovers a game. Sophomore Mike Hancock leads the Bears averaging 10.5 ppg with 5.3 rebounds and 2 steals per contest. Ethan Baksh is the next highest scorer with 8.8 ppg, the junior had 16 points at Chatham on the 21st, the most any player has scored on the team this year. Sophomore Timothy Hardy has started all four games and is just behind Baksh on 8.5 ppg and 3.5 rebounds per game.
