Clarkson Falls to RIT in Non-Conference Matchup at Brick City Weekend

Rochester, N.Y. – October 18, 2025: Clarkson University Men's Hockey dropped a 6–2 decision to RIT on Saturday night at Blue Cross Arena in downtown Rochester, as the Golden Knights faced the Tigers in front of a sellout crowd of 10,000+ during RIT's annual Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend.

Sophomores Jared Mangan and Luke Pakulak both scored their first goals of the season in the loss.

The Knights carried the play early, outshooting RIT 13–5 in the first period, but the Tigers' goaltender Jakub Krbecek turned aside every Clarkson chance to keep the game scoreless after one.

In the second period, Clarkson broke through when Mangan found the net off a setup from Sigurdson and Bottrill at 1:35 to give the Green and Gold a 1–0 advantage. RIT, however, responded quickly with two goals to take a 2–1 lead into the second intermission.

Pakulak brought Clarkson back within one midway through the second period, but the Tigers' offense surged late, adding four more goals to pull away.

RIT's Simon Isabelle led all scorers with a goal and two assists, while Krbecek finished with 28 saves. Clarkson goaltender Keenan Rancier made 16 stops in his first start as a Golden Knight.

The loss moves Clarkson to 1–3–0 on the season, while RIT improves to 1–2–0.

The Golden Knights return home next weekend to host North Dakota.
