The Series: This will be the first time that the Knights face John Jay, while Clarkson is more familiar with Oneonta, having competed against the Red Dragons 20 times, including a three-set sweep last year to open 2021.

Key Stats for Clarkson (6-7): The Golden Knights have been incredibly efficient from the service line in recent matches, recording 50 aces against just 11 service errors over the course of the last three matches, while opponents have had just 13 aces against 15 errors, giving Clarkson a +41 in that category in the past week. Kristin Werdine leads the conference (0.80 aces per set) and team with 36 aces, while Isabelle Crow is creeping up the leaderboard as well at 0.64 per set (30 total). Crow and classmate Emma Baxter are in line to reach some milestones this week, as Crow is just 36 assists shy of 2500 for her career and Baxter is 15 digs short of 1000. Sophomore Allyson Treichel is hitting .370 in her last three matches, pushing her season percentage to .232, a figure that ranks in the top 10 in the Liberty League.

Key Stats for John Jay (6-4): The Bloodhounds have lost three straight matches after winning six of their first seven meetings of the year. Faith Harer leads the team in kills per set (3.60 kps) but is struggling a bit of late with a negative hitting percentage in John Jay's losing skid. Amanda Marte is second on the team in kill at 2.38 per set and is also among the team leaders with 3.00 digs per set. Meghan Smith pushes the offense with 8.06 assists per set. Both Kristin Gretener (3.94 dps) and Taylor Hunt (3.57 dps) have excelled in back, though the team has just an .862 reception percentage.

Key Stats for Oneonta (5-7): Like John Jay, Oneonta comes into the match on a three-game losing streak, something which they hope to end with an earlier match against SUNY Potsdam while the Knights face the Bloodhounds. A year ago, the Red Dragons struggled from the service line, recording just one ace against eight errors against Clarkson while the Knights had 12 aces. The Red Dragons' offense is very equal, as four players are within a quarter of a kill per set for the team's lead. Casey Biggers leads the way for now at 2.05 kills per set, while both Clara Culeton and Caitlyn Christie average 2.02 per set. Ashanti Davis also has 1.86 kills per set and 0.75 blocks per set.
