Today Union College announced the hiring of Clarkson Associate Head Coach,
Josh Hauge.
Josh spent seven seasons on the Golden Knights coaching staff, helping the team to a 2019 ECAC Championship, 2 NCAA Appearances, and a 142-78-29 record. Clarkson also won three in season tournaments during that span. Under Hauge, the Golden Knights had 4 players named All American and garner multiple ECAC Awards. Hauge is known as an excellent recruiter across college hockey.
Hauge becomes the second assistant coach to be named a Head Coach in the ECAC under
Casey Jones. Brett Brekke who shared the bench with Hauge in 2018-19, is now the St. Lawrence Coach.
Josh Hauge came to Clarkson in the Fall of 2015 from the Fargo Force in the United States Hockey League where he served as assistant coach and director of Scouting in 2014-15.
The Knights have brought in several standout recruiting classes to Clarkson in recent years with six Golden Knights earning ECAC Hockey All-Rookie team honors over the past five seasons. Six Clarkson players have been selected in the NHL Draft since 2017.
Hauge will return to Potsdam with the Dutchman to face Clarkson on Friday Nov. 4
th next season. Clarkson went 3-1 vs Union last season including a 2 game sweep in the ECAC Quarterfinals.
