The Golden Knights will head down I-81 today for the first of three straight against a familiar opponent with an even more familiar new head coach.  The Syracuse Orange will host the Knights and will have long time Clarkson Assistant Coach, Britni Smith as their Head Coach.  Brit will face her old team over the next three games and faced her Alma Mater last week, when the Orange dropped 2 games to St. Lawrence.

Clarkson comes into the games 4-1-1 and ranked 11th in the Nation.   Last week the Knights split with Mercyhurst in Erie, PA.  Clarkson will get Anne Cherkowski back in the line up, adding to their scoring depth. 

All time, Clarkson comes into the series with SU with an overall 19-1-2 record.  

The teams will finish the home and home portion of this series tomorrow night at Cheel for a 6:00 pm puck drop.  The game will be part of the Inauguration weekend of Clarkson University's 17th President Marc P. Christensen. There are several events throughout the game to watch for and admission will be free for all that attend.

There will be a President's Challenge during the 2nd intermission. Over 50 students throughout the past 7 weeks have collaborated and joined forces to create a gigantic Rube Goldberg Machine! Come see if it can score another GOLDEN KNIGHT Goal."
