Roeloffs Picked as ECAC North Defensive Player of the Month for October

Senior goalkeeper Ian Roeloffs posted five shutouts in the month of October for the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team and he was rewarded for that performance on Wednesday as he was chosen the Division III ECAC North Defensive Player of the Month.

Roeloffs recorded shutouts against then eighth-ranked Ithaca (1-0) and then fourth-ranked Rensselaer (0-0) as well as whitewashes of Skidmore (1-0), Hobart (0-0) and Bard (3-0). Overall, he had a 0.47 goals against average and .893 save percentage in the month, making 25 saves in six contests.

The senior goalkeeper has helped Clarkson notch 11 shutouts in 18 total games, recording eight solo shutouts on the season, just two short of the program's single-season mark of 10, set by Vele Galovski back in 1980. For the year, Roeloffs has a 0.88 goals against average and .821 save percentage.
