A battle in the middle of the Liberty League pack has six teams separated by just a game, and the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team needs a solid showing this weekend to firm up its spot in the conference playoff picture when it take son Bard College and Vassar College at Hantz Field.

Live Stats/Live Video

The Series vs. Bard: Since the Raptors joined the Liberty League in 2011, the Golden Knights have gone 5-2-1 in eight matches. Clarkson picked up a pair of 1-0 victories in each of the last two seasons thanks to some late scores.

The Series vs. Vassar: The opposite has been true for Clarkson against Vassar in recent years, as the Brewers scored what proved to be the game-winning goals late in the second half in each of their victories in 2017 and 2018. Vassar is 15-2-2 all-time against Clarkson, with the Knights last winning in 2006.

Key Stats for Clarkson (8-4-1, 1-3-0 Liberty League): The Class of 2020, which will be celebrates prior to Saturday's game against Vassar, has produced a considerable portion of the offense for the Golden Knights in 2019. Giulia Mahoney, Camryn Careccia and Danielle Martin have combined for 12 of Clarkson's 21 goals (57.1%), and have similar shares in regards to shots (83 of 147, 56.5%) and shots on goals (49 of 79, 62.0%). Careccia and Mahoney combined on Clarkson's overtime goal against Bard last year, tallying in the 105th minute of the contest.

Key Stats for Bard (3-9-1, 0-5-0 Liberty League): The Raptors were close to .500 in non-league games (3-4-1), but Bard has struggled against the deep Liberty League in 2019, scoring only once in five games against 23 goals allowed. Gillian Randall scored that lone conference goal in a defeat at the hands of Vassar two weeks ago. Randall, however, does not fit in the team's top scorers, as Alina Augustin (3-2-8), Giuliana Scanni (2-0-4), Paige Sangston (2-0-4) and Kehela Ventura (1-2-4) occupy the top four spots in the scoring column for the Raptors.

Key Stats for Vassar (5-6-1, 2-2-0 Liberty League): The game between the Brewers and Golden Knights could very well account for a playoff spot should the two teams find themselves in a tie-breaker near season's end. Vassar's offense is difficult to stop, as the Brewers have scored at least one goal in 11 of the 12 contests in 2019. Savannah Cutler leads the team with 13 points on five goals and three assists, but it is Emma Tanner who is the most frequent weapon utilized by the Brewers. Tanner has 11 points on four goals and three assists, but leads the team in total shots (35) and shots on goal (20).
