The Series vs. Skidmore: The Thoroughbreds long had Clarkson's number, especially when the league was known as the UCAA prior to 2004, but since winning the 2012 Liberty League Championship match the Golden Knights have won 11 straight matches against Skidmore College. The Thoroughbreds still lead the all-time matchup 29-21.

The Series vs. Union: Just a few years ago, the Dutchwomen proved to be Clarkson's only challenger in the Liberty League, though the Golden Knights are 19-2 against Union since 2009, including 12 sweeps. The series overall is fairly even, with the Knights trailing 36-40.

Key Stats for Clarkson (14-3, 2-0 Liberty League): The Golden Knights were a strong defensive team last year, and long rallies were the way Clarkson outlasted opponents in 2018. This season, the Green and Gold lead the conference in hitting percentage (.232) and rank second in opponents' hitting percentage (.137). The strong defense shows up in the serve game as well, with the Knights leading the conference with 2.72 aces per set while getting aced a league-low 0.86 times per set, almost half that of the second-rated team in the conference. Senior Kate Isaksen enjoyed solid showings against both Skidmore and Union last year, recording 51 digs against Skidmore and producing 28 digs with three aces against Union.

Key Stats for Skidmore (10-8, 2-1 Liberty League): The Thoroughbreds saw a four-match winning streak come to an end on Wednesday, getting swept by Middlebury College in Vermont. Middle hitter Katy Ehnstrom leads the team in kills (2.68 per set) as well as hitting percentage (.312), and the senior enjoyed one of her better matches of 2018 against the Knights with 16 kills and a .441 hitting percentage. Skidmore has employed four different setters at times in 2019, but senior Lauren Wolters is the team's key at that position, averaging 5.82 assists and 2.35 digs per set. Skidmore struggled somewhat on serve receive with just a .906 reception rate, something that Clarkson will look to take advantage of with its strong service game.

Key Stats for Union (9-8, 0-3 Liberty League): With only seven matches in conference to decide playoff spots, the Dutchwomen are already in desperation mode if they hope to make the league tournament in November. Though both Steph Libonati (.289) and Katie Moss (.272) have higher hitting percentages, Union runs its offense through outside hitter Gillian Gore. The junior is averaging 3.40 kills and 3.48 digs per set while also posting 0.63 aces per set, second in the conference. Union has ran with three different setters, with Sage Shimamoto posting the highest assists per set (8.53) but also the most ball-handling errors (21 in 38 sets). Jessica Siragusa leads the team's defense with 4.52 digs per set.
