This Friday, the Clarkson University Men's Hockey team will host a Special Hockey Fights Cancer Game against Brown University, thanks to a partnership with Hockey Fights Cancer, the American Cancer Society and with CAC (Colleges Against Cancer). CAC is a nationwide collaboration of college students, faculty, and staff dedicated to finding a cure for cancer by working to implement the programs and mission of the American Cancer Society. Notable initiatives are the Breast Cancer Awareness Month and also the Relay For Life that takes place here at Clarkson every year. This cancer awareness game will celebrate cancer survivors and raise donated funds for the American Cancer Society's mission to save lives from cancer.

All students, their families and community members are invited to attend the game, wear purple/lavender in support of the cause, make a donation, and learn more about ways to reduce their risks and the importance of detecting cancer early. All fans are encouraged to wear purple attire in support of Pancreatic Cancer month and the Hockey Fights Cancer campaign. Upon donation, you will receive raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes, including a team jersey to be signed by your favorite player(s)!

Hockey Fights Cancer unites the hockey community in support of cancer patients and their families. This joint initiative gets an assist from the entire hockey family. Together, the hockey community looks to inspire hope and courage for those who are living with, going through and moving past cancer. Proceeds and benefits of this game will go directly to the American Cancer Society.
