Clarkson Hockey Adds Two More to Class of 2021

The Clarkson University Hockey program has rounded out its incoming recruits with the addition of forward Jack Jacome (Georgetown Raiders) and goaltender Chris Janzen (Trenton Golden Hawks) to the Class of 2021.

Jacome and Janzen join fellow freshmen, forwards Kevin Charyszyn (Waterloo Blackhawks), Grant Cooper (Cornwall Colts), Josh Dickinson (Georgetown Raiders) and J.C. MacLean (Sioux City Musketeers), defenseman Connor McCarthy (Chilliwack Chiefs) and goaltender Nicholas Latinovich (Georgetown) on the Clarkson roster this fall.

This incoming group will be joined by defenseman Jere Astren, who attended the University last year and practiced with the Green and Gold as a partial qualifier.

Jacome, the CJHL Top Forward in 2016-17, will bring additional offensive power to the Green and Gold's lineup after an exceptional junior career with Georgetown. The starting goaltender for Trenton in the OJHL last year, Janzen gives the Golden Knights added depth in the crease.

After an exhibition game on September 30, Clarkson officially opens the regular season on Friday, October 6, hosting Penn State at Cheel Arena.
