CU Volleyball Preview - at DeSales/Gettysburg/Muhlenberg (10/13-14)

None of the teams that the Clarkson University Volleyball team will face this weekend is ranked, but the trio of squads have a combined record of 52-11 this season as the Golden Knights will look to boost their record against regionally ranked teams.

The Series: Clarkson will take on DeSales, Gettysburg and Muhlenberg over the weekend, but have only faced the latter of the three schools before, beating the Mules in three sets back in 2015.

Key Stats for Clarkson (10-7): Seniors Rachael Aird and sophomore Rachel Reusch each rank among the conference leaders in blocks per set with 0.77 each. Reusch also has a .305 hitting percentage while Aird is delivering a .271 rate on attacks. Jillian Saenz enjoyed a strong weekend from the service line against RIT and Ithaca and is now averaging 0.47 aces per set.

Key Stats for DeSales (15-5): Three hitters stand out for DeSales. Gabby Savite leads the team with 3.36 kills per set and a solid .239 hitting percentage, while Noel Kelly averages 3.17 kills per set with a .271 rate. Morghan Shoemaker also adds to the offense, which averages 12.31 kills per set, with 2.54 kills per set of her own and a .249 hitting percentage.

Key Stats for Gettysburg (18-3): Allie Stranick is among the team leaders in several categories, including 3.54 kills per set, 3.22 digs per set, 0.39 aces per set and a .216 hitting percentage. Kasey Higgins also averages 2.74 kills per set with a .284 hitting percentage. The Bullets average 18.7 digs per set.

Key Stats for Muhlenberg (19-3): Shannon Hubert averages 9.64 assists per set, running an offense that averages 11.84 kills per game. Kelly Tornetta leads the team in kills (3.32 kps) and aces (0.44 aps). Maggie Enestvedt bolsters the offense with 3.08 kills per set and Madison Forrest is the team's top blocker with 0.81 per set.
