GRAD YEAR (2001-02)—Helped to lead the Golden Knights back to ECAC Tournament semifinal round after a two-year absence … A four-year veteran, who played an important role as the Golden Knights posted an 80-52-13 record, made four appearances in the ECAC Tournament, including three trips to Lake Placid, two ECAC Regular Season titles (1999, 2001) and a league tournament championship (1999) along with one NCAA Regional appearance (1999) ... Saw a limited role playing on the wing, skating in four games … Recorded an assist in 8-1 win over Mercyhurst (1/5), for only point of the season … Last skated in 4-1 victory over Vermont (3/1).

SENIOR YEAR (2000-01)—An inspirational player, who made a substantial contribution playing both forward and defense in his fourth year with the Clarkson program … Enjoyed most productive collegiate season with four goals and four assists for eight points through 19 games … Was among the team leaders in plus/minus at +10 … Knights were 5-1-2 when he recorded a point … Scored first collegiate point with tying goal in 4-4 deadlock at Miami (10/14) … Tallied game-winning goal in 6-0 victory over Yale (2/2) … Registered a goal in victories over Colgate at SIT (11/26) and at Starr Rink (1/27) in Hamilton … Help set-up Clarkson’s second goal in 3-2 double overtime win against Vermont in second game of ECAC Quarterfinals (3/10) … An ECAC All-Academic Team member.

JUNIOR YEAR (1999-00)—
Saw time at defense and on the wings of Clarkson’s checking line … Played in 12 games … Saw action in the ECAC Quarterfinal second-game victory over Princeton (2/11).

SOPHOMORE YEAR (1998-99)—A hard-working forward who saw his first playing time as a Golden Knight in the game at Lowell (1/9) ... Played in four games, including in the ECAC Regular Season title-clinching win at Cornell (3/6) ... An aggressive player who likes the rough play.

FRESHMAN YEAR (1997-98)—
Practiced with the Knights as a walk-on candidate from Europe, but did not see any game time.

Played at Holderness School

PERSONAL—Son of Katja and Matjaz Sekelj ... Born February 16, 1978 ... Shoots right ... Business major ... Father played professional hockey in old Yugoslavia for 14 years and more than 100 games for the Yugoslavia National Team, including the 1984 Olympic Games in Sarajero. He is currently general manager of a hockey team in Slovenia.
