The Series: The Golden Knights have never faced Morrisville prior to Wednesday's contest.

Key Stats for Clarkson (0-1-0): A year ago, the Golden Knights did not allow their third goal of the season until October 8th, but the team gave up three last Friday at Plattsburgh. It is hardly an indictment on the Clarkson defense, however, as one of the scores came on a penalty kick and another was a bit more of a fluke since the third goal came on a free kick from midfield that happened to make its way through traffic in the 83rd minute. The Golden Knights allowed just four shots on goal overall, in line with the average allowed a year ago (4.19).

Key Stats for Morrisville (0-2-0): The Mustangs allowed nine goals over the weekend against Elmira College and Nazareth University, but were able to find the back of the net themselves four times. Olvin Yanes had a goal and an assist in the two games, and he is the team's leading scorer from a year ago (7-3-17). Josh Lawniczak, Dylan Rosen, and Mohamed Sy also scored goals for the Mustangs. Caleb Lucero suffered through a tough weekend between the posts, allowing 4.50 goals per game and making saves on 13 of 22 shots on goal. Last season, the goalkeeper had a .700 save percentage with a goals against average of 2.00 while posing four shutouts in 12 starts.
