The Series: Over the years the matchup between the Golden Knights and Tigers has been fairly even, with RIT just edging the Green and Gold 26-23-4 in 53 contests. Clarkson has gotten the better of RIT recently, winning three of the past four games, including a 1-0 victory in 2022 when Colin Wright found Jack Donnelly for the game-winning goal in the 77th minute.

Key Stats for Clarkson (4-1-0, 0-0-0 Liberty League): After uncharacteristically allowing three goals in the season-opener (one on a penalty kick and another on a fluke play), the Golden Knights' defense has returned to its stingy ways. Clarkson has strung together four consecutive clean sheets, allowing only 20 shots in that stretch with just eight making their way to the goalkeeper. Carter Kladstrup got the first of those shutouts, while Josh Morelli has picked up the last three. The duo has combined for a 0.60 goals against average. Freshman Jonathan Dereka leads the team in scoring with three goals, two coming against Russell Sage on Wednesday.

Key Stats for RIT (2-0-3, 0-0-0 Liberty League): Like Clarkson, the Tigers are outshooting opponents by a wide margin. RIT has taken 77 shots to its opponents' 45, including a 39-23 lead in shots on goal. Senior Joshua Price leads the way offensively, having scored five goals so far, including at least one goal in the past four contests. Classmate Randy Dickersbach has eight points on three goals and two assists, while both Jake Donahue (2-1-5) and Tate Pottle (1-3-5) have contributed five points. Jason Trapp is back in goal for the Tigers, sporting a 1.33 goals against average and .727 save percentage in 405 minutes of action.
