Taking a brief pause from Liberty League play, the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team makes a trip across town to take on SUNY Potsdam. Tuesday evening.
The Series: The Golden Knights hold a strong advantage in the all-time matchup between the two teams with a 43-10-3 record. Clarkson has won the last six contests since 2018, including a convincing 4-1 win at Hantz Field in 2014.
Key Stats for Clarkson (6-4-4, 3-3-2 Liberty League): Held scoreless for just the fifth time this year on Saturday at Ithaca, the Knights came within inches of a late winner when Paul Rolland struck the outside of the left post with under a minute left. Sophomore Thomas Wendel leads the offense with four goals and two assists (10 points) as the only Bear in double figures. James Kelm and Ian Schwartz have split time almost equally in goal so far but neither has a goals against average below 3.00. Kelm has made 59 saves with a 0.656 save percentage while Schwartz has stopped 31 shots with a 0.574 save percentage.
