CU Men's Soccer Loses to Hobart in Overtime

A goal just 46 seconds into overtime cost the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team as the Golden Knights fell to Hobart 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
 
Clarkson is now 5-4-2 on the season with a 1-2-1 Liberty League record while Hobart is 5-4-3 and has a 2-1-1 conference record.
 
For the third straight game, the Golden Knights scored within the first ten minutes of the game. In the ninth minute, Kevin Chrisey found Aiden Subra who broke through the Hobart defense for a 1-on-1 opportunity with the goalkeeper. Subra was able to convert the chance to score for the second straight game and third time this season.
 
The score remained 1-0 until the 74th minute when the Statesment tied the score. The goal came when JP White scored on a back heel from right in front of the goal.
 
Neither team could score in regulation and so the game went into overtime. However, the overtime period was cut short just 46 second in when Binjo Emmanuel scored off a pass from Clint Dunn.
 
Hobart held a 16-9 advantage in shots. Clarkson took six corner kicks to Hobart's four. Michael King made four saves for Clarkson while Alex Kaminer had three stops for Hobart.
 
The Golden Knights next game will be on October 14th, when they travel to RPI.
