Ambrose Named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week

By helping to lead Clarkson University Women's Hockey to a sweep of its archrival, sophomore Erin Ambrose has been selected ECAC Hockey's Player of the Week.

A defenseman from Keswick, ONT, Ambrose recorded her second hat trick in as many games from the blueline, and added an assist in Friday's 5-2 win over St. Lawrence University at Cheel Arena. She followed with a strong defensive outing in Saturday's 4-1 victory over the Saints at Appleton Arena. Ambrose has scored nine points on six goals and three assists in the first three games as the third-ranked Knights open the season 3-0. She leads the nation in goals scored on the young season and is tied for second in points per game (3.00).
