Nick Clemens

Nick Clemens is entering his second season as the top assistant for the Golden Knights’ Swimming teams for the 2013-14 season.

Clemens, a Lowville, NY native, is developing new and exciting dynamic warm-up routines and cross training regiments for the Golden Knights squad, working with Head Coach Maguire and other Clarkson Athletics staff.

A four-year member and semester captain of the Golden Knights’ swim team, Clemens graduated from Clarkson this past spring with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a Minor in Applied Mathematics & Statistics.

Clemens specialized in sprint and mid-distance freestyle, competing regularly for the Golden Knights in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle events. Clemens’ highlights include taking 22nd in the 50 freestyle for the Knights with a PR of 22.09 during the 2011 UNYSCSA Championships and supportive relay splits during state championship competition. Clemens’ PR in his other events included a 1:51.00 in the 200 freestyle at the 2009 UNYSCSA Championships, and a 49.73 100 free during the 2010 finals. Clemens also performed on a multitude of top 200 Freestyle, 200 Medley, 400 Freestyle, and 800 Freestyle Relays for the Golden Knights.

In addition to his duties as the Knights’ assistant coach for the Men & Women's swim team, Clemens will serve as the director of intramural competition at Clarkson University.
