Matt Konecnik is entering his third season as the top assistant coach for the Golden Knights’ men’s soccer program in 2013.
A three-time Liberty League All-Academic member, Konecnik played in 36 games with 22 starts over his four-year career for the Golden Knights. Konecnik, who graduated in the spring of 2012 with a degree in civil engineering, missed his final season with a leg injury and had a year left of eligibility, but chose instead to join the coaching staff.
Konecnik, a native of Waterford, NY, made 15 starts in 16 games as a junior in 2010 and was named a Liberty League All-Star Honorable Mention on defense, recording his first career point.
