JUNIOR YEAR (2025-26):  O’Donnell provided Clarkson with experience and dependable depth during his first season with the Golden Knights. The junior forward appeared in 34 games and recorded three goals and three assists for six points...He finished the season with 32 shots, eight blocked shots and 10 penalty minutes while contributing in several different roles throughout the lineup...O’Donnell’s season was highlighted by his contributions during Clarkson’s postseason run, in the opening game of the Golden Knights’ ECAC Hockey quarterfinal series at Quinnipiac, he assisted on Bryce Sookro’s game-winning goal early in the second period. The goal proved to be all the offense Clarkson needed in a 3-0 victory over the Bobcats...The following night, O’Donnell delivered one of the biggest goals of his Clarkson career. With the Golden Knights protecting a one-goal lead in the third period, he scored an unassisted shorthanded goal to extend Clarkson’s advantage to 3-1. The Golden Knights held on for a 4-3 victory, completing the quarterfinal sweep and securing a trip to Lake Placid...O’Donnell’s ability to contribute in different situations, including on the penalty kill, made him a valuable member of Clarkson’s forward group. His timely production against Quinnipiac helped define his first season in Potsdam and demonstrated his ability to perform in important postseason moments.

SOPHOMORE YEAR (2024-25):  In his first season for the Green & Gold, O'Donnell played in 39 games collecting 1 goal and 3 assists...Scored his lone goal in a 4-1 win at Michigan Tech on Oct. 25th...Had assists vs Vermont, Stonehill, and Yale...Shawn was 8 for 16 on face offs on the season...19 blocked shots on the season...Became a reliable part of the PK.
