Ben Buck is entering his first season as the assistant coach for the Golden Knights' Cross Country and Nordic Skiing programs for the 2021-22 season.

Buck, a 2020 graduate of Clarkson University with a degree in Civil Engineering while minoring in Environmental Policy, spent the last year functioning as a graduate teaching assistant for Civil and Environmental Engineering in Potsdam. He served as a captain of the Golden Knights' Nordic Skiing team during his playing days, participating in the 2020 USCSA Nationals at Lake Placid where he finished 26th in the Classic Sprint, 33rd in the 7.5K Freestyle, and 39th in the 15K Classic. His best finish came in the 2019 ECSC Divisionals where he was ninth in the 1.5K Skate.

During his time with the Nordic team he also served as the representative for the squad in Clarkson's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. In high school at Dirigo, ME, Buck was a three-year captain for his Track & Field squad while also participating in both cross country running and soccer.Â
