Micaela Holland

Micaela Holland is entering her second year as the Golden Knights' Head Coach for Alpine Skiing, and she also serves as the department's Outdoor Recreation Director. 

In her first year at the helm of the Golden Knights, the men finished fourth in both the slalom and giant slalom at the USCSA National Championships, while the women gained a pair of eighth place showings in both events as well. In her previous two years as assistant coach for Clarkson during the winters of 2014 and 2015, Holland helped guide the team to some of its best finishes in history. During the 2014 season, Clarkson's women finished sixth while the men placed second. In 2015, the Golden Knights had their best overall finish with the women coming in fourth and the men taking third.

Holland, a 2011 graduate of Bates College with a degree in Sociology, recently completed her MBA at Clarkson. She was a participant at the NCAA Division I Championships in 2008, 2009, and 2011. As a freshman in 2008, Holland placed 22nd in the giant slalom and 26th in the slalom at Bozeman, MT, and in 2009 she came in 18th in the slalom and 31st in the giant slalom at Bethel, ME. As a senior, she had her best overall performance in Stowe, VT, coming in 18th in the slalom and 24th in the giant slalom.

In 2011 and 2012, Holland worked as the U-16 Women's Ski Racing Coach at the Green Mountain Valley School in Waitsfield, VT, organizing training opportunities both domestic and abroad. She also worked at the Dedham Health and Athletic Club in Massachusetts as a physical therapy aide.
