Marc Danin is entering his sixth season as the head coach for the Clarkson University Swimming & Diving program for the 2026-27 season.

School records have regularly been rewritten under the guidance of Danin, as the Golden Knights set 14 new standards during the 2025-26 campaign, 11 for the men and three for the women. The previous season of 2024-25 saw the Green and Gold break 13 school marks (seven for the men and six for the women). Clarkson's men placed fourth in the Liberty League Championships for the third straight season, while the women took ninth. One of Clarkson's divers, Gavin Cibelli, also earned a spot at the NCAA Division III Diving Regionals, the first time a Golden Knight has qualified since 2019.   

A 2016 graduate of Oswego State with a degree in English, Danin most recently worked as assistant coach and aquatics manager at Vassar College, though the Brewers did not compete in the 2021 season due to the pandemic. Before his stint at Vassar, Danin served as assistant coach for St. Lawrence University while working on his graduate degree in Educational Leadership. While serving as assistant for the Saints, Danin was responsible for training programs as well as individualized strength and conditioning programs based on events and goals. He also developed video analysis to improve upon the St. Lawrence swimmers' approaches to their individual events.

While coaching in Canton, Danin also served as head swim coach at the Northport Yacht Club, leading a group of 145 athletes from the ages of 5 to 18.

Prior to his stint at St. Lawrence, Danin served as coach for Islanders Aquatics in Sayville, NY, where he served as coach and mentor to four athletes to score in the top thirty spots at the NSCA Junior Nationals, with two having nationally-recognized top 25 times in the country for their respective events and age groups.

Gabriela McSwieney is entering her first season as the Clarkson University Swimming and Diving team’s Assistant Swimming Coach for the 2026-2027 season. 

A graduate of Clarkson University, McSwieney returns to Potsdam a year after graduating in 2025 with a degree in Engineering and Management, earning Liberty League All-Academic honors on three occasions. McSwieney was a consistent performer for the Golden Knights in her four seasons at Fuller Pool, recording 11 dual meet wins during her senior season, eight while a junior, seven during her sophomore campaign, and seven more during her first collegiate year. McSwieney also regularly scored points in the freestyle events at the annual Liberty League Championships, participating in the 'C' finals in the 200 and 500 freestyle events each year. Her hard work paid off when she broke the record for the 1650 freestyle at the conference champonships in 2025, shattering a 36-year-old school record by more than four seconds in that event with a time of 18:28.81.
