Clarkson University released the 2023-24 Hockey schedules and announced the Cheel Ticket Office will be putting season tickets on sale July 6th.
The Clarkson Men's Hockey team will open their 102nd season of play with a trip to South Bend to face the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and the Clarkson Women will also open their season on the road at Merrimack College.Â
The home openers for both teams will feature national opponents, the Women will host the Eagles of Boston College on Sept. 30th and the Men will host the Penn St Nittany Lions on Oct. 13th.
Head Coach
Casey Jones team will skate in a total of 13 non-conference games. Old ECAC foe, the University of Vermont will visit Cheel on Oct. 14th followed by a trip to Merrimack on Oct. 20th. Family Weekend the Knights will host Lake Superior State University and Michigan Tech. Â
In December, Cheel will play host to Stonehill College, new to NCAA Div. I, and the US Under 18 National Development Team and then the Knights will travel to Lake Placid for a Holiday Tournament on Dec. 29th and 30th. Clarkson and Arizona St will face off, while Cornell will face UMass. The winners and losers will face each other the next day. The final non-conference games will be a trip to start the New Year at RIT and Canisius. Â
The Clarkson Women's team and Coach
Matt Desrosiers start off with a trio of Hockey East foes in Merrimack, Boston College, and UVM.  Then they will travel to Robert Morris University, who brought hockey back after it had been canceled in 2021. The Knights will also have home and home series with Syracuse and St. Lawrence as part of the non-conference schedule. The home date with St. Lawrence will be a rare weekday game aiming at inviting in school age children from across the region.Â

Men's hockey season tickets include 11 ECAC games, 5 non-league games, 1 exhibition game and tickets to 3 ECAC Men's Hockey Playoff games for the 23-24 hockey season.Â
Women's hockey season tickets this season include 11 ECAC games and non-league games vs Boston College, St Lawrence, and Syracuse for a total of 15 regular season home games for the 23-24 hockey season. There is planning for a ceremony to honor the 2014 National Championship Team, date to be announced soon.
The Clarkson Department of Athletics and Sodexo have worked together to assess the feasibility of public sales of alcoholic beverages within the Arena at Clarkson men's and women's hockey home games during the 2023-24 season. The committee wanted to explore the safe and responsible service of alcohol, by Sodexo, within the Arena, to fans who are 21 years of age and older.
With the recommendation of the committee, Clarkson Department of Athletics and Sodexo are excited to announce that the 2023-24 season will be the pilot year for the public sale of alcohol in the Arena at Clarkson men's and women's hockey games. Following a complete evaluation of the first year, to be conducted in March 2024, the committee will reconvene to discuss the pilot program and determine whether it will continue during the 2024-25 season. Protocols and procedures for purchasing alcohol in the Arena will be announced later this summer.
The Barben Room Buffet will be back again for the 2023-2024 season and the menu will be sent out when it is finalized. After a 3 year hiatus due to Covid-19 the fan favorite Skate-With-A-Knight will be back for both men's and women's hockey. Clarkson Women's Hockey team will take the ice with fans following their game vs Boston College on September 30th and Clarkson Men's Hockey team will host fans on the ice with them following their game vs Union College on November 11th.
Clarkson Athletics had partnered with ORDA to offer men's season ticket holders the ability to purchase tickets to the 2023 NCAA D1 Men's Hockey Adirondack Winter Invitational in Lake Placid on December 29th and 30th. Clarkson will take on Arizona St at 7:30PM on December 29th and will play Cornell or UMass Amherst on December 30th. Tickets will be available for season tickets holders for $30 each for an all weekends pass(all 4 games) which is a 40% savings off full price weekend passes when they go on sale. Tickets must be bought over the phone or in person at the box office. Quantity of tickets at the promotional rate for 2023 NCAA D1 Men' s Hockey Adirondack Winter Invitational in Lake Placid are limited to the amount of Clarkson Men's Season Tickets purchases for the 2023-2024 season.
