In a game much like last Saturday vs RPI, the Knights came out and stuck to their game plan and out lasted the Colgate Raiders for a 4-0 win behind a hat trick from
Alex Campbell and
Ethan Haider's 2nd straight shutout.
The Knights would hold the shot advantage through the first period, and would break the scoreless deadlock at 12:58 of the 2nd when
Caden Lewandowski would get the puck across to
Noah Beck who was able to get a shot towards net, which found it's way to
Alex Campbell who knocked it in to put the Knights up 1-0.
Campbell would get his 2nd of the game on the Power Play at 5:50 of the 3rd period.
Ryan Taylor and
Anthony Callin would get the helpers on the Knights 7th goal this season with the man advantage. Callin would make it 3-0 at 10:27 with a wrist shot from the high slot.
The Knights would go on the penalty kill at 10:50, but a great clear up the ice by
Alex Campbell got the Knights their 4th goal at 12:10, giving Alex a hat trick on the evening.
Ethan Haider was not tested in volume, only having to make 13 saves, but had a few key stops, including a breakaway stop with a diving poke check and then a save when he reached his paddle back to deflect a puck in the 3rd period.
The Knights were 1 for 2 on the power play and held Colgate scoreless on their 2 chances.
The Knights now move to 4-6 on the season and will face Cornell tomorrow night at Cheel.
