Yorkey led in parts of the 5000-meter race, but ended up in second place just 7.2 seconds off the pace with a time of 19 minutes, 14.1 seconds, taking the runner-up spot in a field of 70 competitors. Elizabeth Fawwaz took fourth in 19:53.6 and Kelsey Hamilton also was in the top 10 by taking ninth with a time of 20:16.7. Further down the list was Ella Weldy in 17th with a time of 21:07.0 and Sarah Weeks closed out the Clarkson team scoring by taking 21st win 21:25.9. Clarkson's placement could have potentially been helped by Gabriella Broga and Melissa Brown, who placed 23rd and 31st, respectively, had Weldy or Weeks been disqualified.

For the men, Kevin Cronin was on the thick of the leaders but took a spill on a turn near the second mile of the 8000-meter race, costing himself some time to get back to his feet and regain his pace. He still ended up in third place in the field of 92, ending up 31.7 seconds off the pace in 26:37.7. Clarkson then placed five more in the top 20 to round out its scoring. Eric Nowak came in 13th in 28:29.0 and was followed closely by Simon Zehr in 14th, as the senior finished in 28:34.3. Dylan Richard ended up in 16th in 28:44.3 and Angus Cropley crossed the finish line in 18th in 28:57.6. Tyler Nickels (19th, 29:02.7) and Riley Sawyer (22nd, 29:16.4) also would have kept the Knights in second had any of the other latter scoring runners faltered.
