Seniors Kevin Cronin and Hannah Yorkey led their respective fields on Saturday, and Tyler Nickels was the top freshman, as the three members of the Clarkson University Cross Country team earned Liberty League Performers and Rookie of the Week honors when the conference announced its award winners on Monday.

Competing on a slick and sloppy course due to rain at Seneca Lake State Park, Cronin and Yorkey each won the Cross Country-Only Championships, hosted by Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Cronin, named Liberty League Performer of the Week, paced the field of 67 runners with a time of 26 minutes, 27.8 seconds over the 8,000-meter course, which was 36 seconds faster than any other runner at the championships. It was his second win at the CCOC as he also had the top time back in 2019. Freshman Tyler Nickels, picked as Liberty League Rookie of the Week, came in fourth place in 28:36.4.

Yorkey, selected Liberty League Performer of the Week, became the fifth different Clarkson runner to win the CCOC event in its last five runnings, joining Elizabeth Fawwaz (2019), Abigail Sullivan (2018), Sarah Duclos (2017), and Alison Davis (2016) as recent Golden Knight winners. Yorkey's time of 23 minutes, 51.6 seconds, which was 16.6 seconds faster than her teammate Fawwaz.
