Seven former Golden Knight athletic standouts and a generous benefactor will be inducted into the Clarkson University Athletic Hall of Fame this fall. Clarkson will honor Brigitte Aldous '90, Joe "Skip"Â Demerski '67, Barry Fischer '54, Vele Galovski '83, Jerry Kieran '92, Craig Laughlin '80, Bill Little '61 and Don Seale '57. Ceremonies for the ninth induction class into the Clarkson Athletic Hall of Fame will take place on Saturday, October 7.

BRIGITTE ALDOUS '90 -
Basketball
An exceptional all-around player on Clarkson's highly successful women's basketball teams in the late 1980s, Aldous '90 is among the Golden Knights' all-time leaders in points (1,139), rebounds (614) and assists (363) playing in 105 games from 1986-90. A native of Hermon, New York, Aldous was a standout on Clarkson's 1988-89 Final Four team. Among the numerous accolades she earned where being named a 1989 NCAA East Regional All-Star, 1990 AWSF All-America - Special Mention, and a 1990 All-ICAC - 2nd Team All-Star.

JOE "SKIP" DEMERSKI '67 -
Soccer, Hockey, Lacrosse
Demerski was a three-sport standout in lacrosse, hockey and soccer in late 1960s. He served as captain of the Golden Knights' soccer and lacrosse teams and as an assistant captain for the hockey squad. The Springfield, Massachusetts native played three seasons of lacrosse (1965-67), recording 10 points (6-4) as a midfielder, and was selected to play in the prestigious North/South Lacrosse Game in 1967. In three seasons as a wing on Clarkson's very successful hockey teams, Demerski scored 15 goals and 34 points through 75 games. He played three years of soccer, earning 1965 ICAC first-team All-Star honors at midfield.

Benefactor
Fischer has been a strong supporter of the University and Clarkson Athletics. He was responsible many of the upgrades at Jack Phillips Baseball Stadium, including the new scoreboard at Snell Field that features his name.

VELE GALOVSKI '83 -Â
Soccer
Regarded as the preeminent goaltender in the history of the Clarkson Soccer program, Galovski posted a 38-20-4 record, a .867 save percentage and a 0.97 goals against average in 61 games from 1979-82.  The Rochester, New York native was selected an All-America in 1982 along with being named the Independent College Athletic Conference (ICAC) Most Valuable Player in his senior campaign. Galovski also earned numerous other ICAC and All-NYS All-Star honors. He still holds several Clarkson goaltending records.

JERRY KIERAN '92
Lacrosse
A two-time All-American defenseman (1991-92), a North/South Game participant and a First-Team All-League All-Star (ICAC-91, EAA-92), Kieran rates as one of the best ever to play lacrosse at Clarkson. He was a standout on the Golden Knights' defense in each of his four seasons (1989-92) and helped to lead Clarkson to 39 wins. The Yorktown Heights, New York native played on Clarkson's 1989 ECAC Championship team as a freshman and was a major force in helping to lead the Green and Gold to back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament during his junior and senior seasons. CRAIG LAUGHLIN Â '80
Hockey
Laughlin was an outstanding right wing for Clarkson from 1976-80 and ranks among the top 15 all-time scorers in the program's history with 168 points on 65 goals and 103 assists through 127 career games. A 1977 National Hockey League Draft choice of the Montreal Canadiens, the Toronto, Ontario native went on to play eight years in the NHL, skating with Montreal, Washington, Los Angeles and Toronto.  He played in 549 NHL games, recording 136 goals and 205 assists for 341 points from 1981-1989. Laughlin is just one of four Knights to have is Clarkson sweater (#22) retired and hanging from the Cheel Arena rafters.

BILL LITTLE Â '61
Hockey, Baseball
Averaging almost two points a game as a left wing for the Golden Knights Hockey team, Little was a leading contributor on legendary head coach Len Ceglarski's first teams at Clarkson. Through 60 games from 1958-61, the Cardinal, Ontario native amassed 105 career points on 47 goals and 58 assists. Little was Tech's leading scorer in 1959-60 (15-23-38) and in 1960-61 (14-19-33). He served as team captain in his senior campaign and was an All-East All-Star in 1960-61. Little, who also excelled for the Knights on the baseball field as a pitcher and shortstop, was Clarkson's Barben Award winner in 1985.

DON SEALE '57 -
Hockey
Considered the "Jackie Robinson of Clarkson Hockey", Seale was an imposing defenseman for the Golden Knights, playing three seasons from 1954-57. The St. John, New Brunswick native, skated in 67 career games, recording 29 points, including 24 assists, but it was his intimidating, physical play on the Clarkson blueline where he really made his impact. A big, strong, talented athlete, who embraced the hard-hitting aspect of the game, Seale helped Clarkson establish itself as one of the premier programs in college hockey during the mid-1950s. The Knights skated to 60 victories and posted a .896 winning percentage with Seale on the ice. He was a member of Tech's undefeated team in his junior campaign, going 23-0 in 1955-56, and played a leading role as a senior in helping Clarkson Hockey to its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 1957.

The Clarkson Athletic Hall of Fame was established at the University to recognize those individuals, who either through participation, support, or interest, have made outstanding contributions to Clarkson Athletics, and who have helped bring recognition, honor and distinction to the University.
Clarkson Athletic Hall of Fame
Sixty-four members have been previously inducted, beginning with the inaugural class, consisting of 15 individuals, in the fall of 1992. Five more Clarkson athletic standouts were honored in 1995, nine more former Golden Knight all-stars were inducted in 2004, and nine more were honored in 2005. The Class of 2007 saw six more former Clarkson greats join the illustrious group and eight more were inducted in 2008. In 2010, five more joined Clarkson's Athletic Hall of Fame. The 2012 Class saw seven inductees honored.
