AHL's Albany Devils Add Geiger to Roster

Paul Geiger, a two-year captain for the Clarkson University Hockey team, has signed an Amateur Tryout Agreement with the Albany Devils of the American Hockey League, the club announced today.

Geiger completed a four-year career with the Golden Knights, helping to lead the Green and Gold to a 20-15-3 overall record in 2015-16. This past season, the Stouffville, ONT appeared in 35 games on the Clarkson blueline, registering 13 points with five goals and eight assists.

The 23-year-old finished his 150-game collegiate career with 13 goals and 38 assists for 51 points, while amassing just 70 penalty minutes. During his junior season, he received Clarkson's Fran Neragin Award, which is presented to a player who displays unselfish play and sportsmanship both on and off the ice. Additionally, during his freshmen year, Geiger was named to the ECAC Hockey All-Rookie Team. He was a member of the ECAC Hockey All-Academic team during the 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15 campaigns.
