Several members of the Clarkson University Nordic Ski team enjoyed strong performances at the Jr. Olympic Qualifier Race in Lake Placid on Saturday.
Junior Sarah Gardner (Auburn, ME), senior Janine Laskoski (Scotia, NY) and sophomore Chelsea Reynolds (Endicott, NY) finished among the top 12 in the women’s 7.5km open masters race. Gardner finished sixth (29:08) followed by Laskoski in seventh (29:16) and Reynolds in 12th (32:47).
Senior Chad Day (Honeoye Falls, NY) paced the Clarkson men in the 7.5km freestyle masters event with a second-place time of 21:31. Junior Justin Tetlow (Fairport, NY) finished fourth (22:33).
In the men’s 7.5km freestyle, freshman Andrew Moskevitz (Enosburgh Falls, VT) led the way for the Golden Knights with a 12th-place time of 23:17. Freshman Andrew Nadeau (Irondequoit, NY) placed 18th (24:35), followed by freshman Chris Talbot (Falmouth, ME) at 19th (24:37) and classmate Andre Bolduc (St. Albans, VT) in 20th (24:39).
Freshman Matt Delaney (Lake Placid, NY) and junior Whitney Olson (Scotia, NY) competed in the EISA races at Jackson, NH sponsored by UNH. EISA is the elite ski league with many Division I programs participating.

Delaney placed 37th in the 10k skate and 54th the following day in the 10k classic. Whitney placed 57th in the women's 5k skate race and a Clarkson all-time best result of 44th in Sunday's 10k classic.
Any top 60 results are considered very, very good.
