KNIGHT WOMEN POST 1st WIN in WOMEN'S LACROSSE

Freshman Alicia Chace (Cortland, NY) enjoyed a five-goal, one assist outing to lead the Clarkson University Women’s Lacrosse team to its first victory of the season, a 15-5 win at Cazenovia College on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Seven Golden Knights scored in a balanced effort as Clarkson snapped a 10-game losing streak. The Knights jumped out to an 8-2 lead at the half and never look back. Sophomore Lindsey Grigg (Watertown, NY) also tallied six points in the win, including four goals. Freshman Alexis Miller (Vestal, NY) chipped in two goals and one assist, while senior Jen Berman (Syracuse, NY) and sophomore Emily Cohen (Bethlehem, NY) contributed one goal and one assist each. Senior Ashley Edson (Lebanon, NH) and freshman Rachel Kopels (Queensbury, NY) rounded out the Green and Gold goal scorers with one apiece.
 
Sophomore Erin Duffy (Liverpool, NY) posted 10 saves in the Clarkson goal. Cali Parrotta led Cazenovia (1-5)with four goals. Ryan McLaughlin made 25 stops for the Wildcats.
 
Clarkson resumes Liberty League play at Rensselaer on Friday.
