A long trip to Poughkeepsie, NY on Friday afternoon didn’t turn out very well for the Clarkson University Women’s Soccer team, which concluded the 2005 campaign with a 3-0 loss to Liberty League rival Vassar College. The Golden Knights, who dropped their last three games of the season, finished with a 5-11-1 record.
The Brewers (4-8-1) dominated from the start in Friday’s contest and ended with a 32-6 shot advantage and controlled corner kicks 11-1.
Senior Lauren Arredondo (Allendale, NJ) was strong in goal for Clarkson, posting 11 saves through 90 minutes of action.
Ashley Willhite gave Vassar all the scoring it would need with an unassisted goal at 21:07. The Brewers tacked on two more goals in the second half with Emma Kemp tallying at 65:34 and Claire Beitcher connecting at 76:28.
