KNIGHTS EXTEND WIN STREAK TO SIX, BEAT BEARS IN THREE

Potsdam, NY - Junior Stephanie Thornton recorded 14 kills and 3 service aces as the Clarkson University Women's Volleyball team cruised to a three-game match victory over cross-town rival Potsdam State, 30-15, 30-26, 30-18 Tuesday evening at Maxcy Hall.

The Golden Knights, who won their sixth straight match, improved to 7-2 overall. In the six-match winning streak, the Golden Knights have won 18 games and lost only once.

Junior setter Suzanne Clarvoe (Hartwick, NY) led the team with 29 assists and 10 digs while senior Kim Spierre (Averill Park, NY) and sophomore Claire Horvath (South Bend, IN) each added seven kills.

The Golden Knights will compete against their toughest competition of the season this weekend when they play in the RIT Tournament in Rochester, NY.
