Senior Patrick Ryan (Canton, NY) scored just before the final horn had sounded to lift the Clarkson University Men's Lacrosse team to a 16-15 overtime win against Oswego State during a snowstorm in Sunday's game at Liverpool High School.

The Golden Knights, who trailed 6-2 after the first, 8-5 at the half and 14-8 through 45 minutes of play, outscored the Lakers 7-1 in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

Senior Jim Lavelle (Hamburg, NY) led all scorers with five goals and two assists. Classmate Sean Pearce (Auburn, NY) also scored five goals for Clarkson, including four goals in the fourth.

Ryan and senior Matthew Owen (New Philadelphia, OH) scored two goals apiece. Junior Richard Burritt (Oswego, NY) sent the game into the extra session with his lone goal of the contest with 2:43 remaining in the fourth. Junior Joe Zebrowski (Liverpool, NY), playing on defense, scored Clarkson's first goal in the opening quarter.

Senior Brian Pratt (Randolph, NJ) made 14 saves in the Clarkson goal.

The Knights, who improve their record to 3-2, will play at nationally ranked Cortland State this Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
