NICK JONES CONTINUES HOT PLAY AS KNIGHTS END 3-GAME LOSING STREAK

Potsdam, NY – Freshman Nick Jones (Washington, DC) scored a career-high 21 points and added 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals and 2 blocks as the Clarkson University Men’s Basketball team defeated Cazenovia 90-76 in a non-league game Friday night at Alumni Gymnasium.
 
After trading baskets in the opening minutes the Golden Knights extended their modest lead into double-digits at the close of the first half, only to have the Wildcats cut the lead to four in the final seconds. Jones led the Golden Knights, scoring a team-high nine first-half points while adding two rebounds, two blocks and three steals in the opening 20 minutes.

Josh Harner (Houston, TX) added 15 points, shooting 6-for-14 from the floor and 3-for-8 from beyond the 3-point arc. Sophomore forward Russ Vitallo (Dracut, MA) contributed 14 points on 7-for-10 shooting.

Adrian Hanks scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Wildcats (3-8). Marty Priest added 11 points, while Dan Gasparini scored eight points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
 
The Golden Knights close out the weekend when they host Keuka College on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Gymnasium.
